Information You Provide Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result service. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. When you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them only to respond.
Data Collected Automatically
Our host creates routine server logs that may include an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of visit. We review this information in aggregate for reliability and usage patterns. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
Information is used to operate the service, troubleshoot it, measure overall traffic, and improve its reference pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Services
Links can lead to county and state record portals, archival collections, libraries, and outside search services. The policy of the destination controls any information you provide there. Sponsored results are also furnished by a third party and are subject to that provider’s practices.
People Who May Process Data
Hosting and technical-support providers process routine logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatically collected data described above. We share information when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise do not disclose it.
Safeguarding Information
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal profiles stored here for an account breach to expose.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Information Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, or an opt-out concerning personal data a service keeps. New Jersey’s Data Privacy Act was enacted January 16, 2024, and the Attorney General announced proposed comprehensive rules on June 2, 2025. Publicly available information is treated differently in that context. This policy does not state that proposed rules are final requirements; check the Attorney General announcement and current official materials for developments. Because this service retains very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and routine logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Government records held by New Jersey, Gloucester County, or a municipality remain under the custodian’s control; requests for existing public records follow the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq..
